Dyslexia Screening Process
Please note: you do not need a formal screening to begin tutoring with us; the screening is a separate "testing" process for individuals wanting formal documentation that a child or adult does in fact have dyslexia.

To run through all of the indicators of dyslexia, rule out other conditions, discuss developmental/health history, and decide next steps: tutoring or further testing.
This takes about an hour.
School Records Analysis
We look over your child's past report cards, test scores, reading intervention notes, and writing samples to determine if it is indeed looking like dyslexia or not.
This takes approximately two weeks.
**For an adult, we skip this step**
The child or adult meets with one of our certified screeners who use 10 different informal and formal tests that will give us information to confirm dyslexia or not.
This takes approximately two hours.
We will meet to go over the written report, which will include all of the data from the first three steps.
We will discuss if it looks like mild, moderate, severe, or profound dyslexia, and what intervention and accommodations are most appropriate.
This meeting lasts about two hours, and includes the written report and a digital copy of the report.
